Recorded live at Los Angeles's Troubadour club, "Where's The Money?" was originally released on Blue Thumb Records. It is now available on CD from MCA Records. The original LP cover has a fold-over flap at the top, and the album cover opens to reveal the song lyrics.
"Where's The Money?" introduces us to most of the best-known Hot Licks lineup, including Lickettes Maryann Price and Naomi Ruth Eisenberg. The album also features some classic Dan stage patter ("You probably think it's easy being up here. Singing and everything, and playing. It's not. It's not easy. Thank you.").
"By Hook Or By Crook", which Dan previously performed with the Charlatans, makes an appearance here. Dan's sets in recent years have included other favorites from this album, such as "News From Up The Street", "Reelin' Down", "Is This My Happy Home?", the ever-popular (and ever-faster) "The Buzzard Was Their Friend", and of course the title tune.
